I’ve watched a few sunrises and sunsets in Iceland, but this was the first time I noticed something unusual—the sun seemed to move sideways across the sky as it set, not just up and down. From what I understand, that’s because of the Earth’s tilted axis and Iceland’s position on the globe. It made this already colorful sunset at the Gardur lighthouse feel even more unique.
