This DC-3 first took to the skies in 1944, later serving at the Keflavík base. In 1969, a brake failure on landing ended its flying days. Left behind, it became a shelter, a playground, and eventually was moved over 700 km to Eyvindarholt, where it now rests as a quiet reminder of aviation history in Iceland.
