Hidden Beauty
There is a hidden beauty in the order we create for ourselves.
I watched these two wait for a crossing light to tell them when to move. They could have been rebels; they could have ignored the signal and cut through the traffic, but they didn’t. They respected the rhythm of the city.
As humans, we do our best to bring order out of chaos—building clean lines, structures, and systems to "fix" things by our own methods. But as I stood there, I realized that while we can build the city, we can never "build" the people.
These are two lives, each with a purpose that won't get lost in this sea of busyness. They aren't just commuters; they are souls who love, struggle, and fail, yet are made to be in relationship with their Creator.
Do you ever find it easier to focus on the "to-do list" of life rather than the people walking through it with you? I’m challenging myself to see the soul, not just the schedule.
