Green Mountain Falls

We often prioritize our own comfort over getting out and experiencing the world that’s been created for us. I had to give my daughter a little nudge to get out into the snow this, but once she was out there, the joy was worth the cold.

Following the footprints toward the bridge, the landscape felt like a quiet, intentional gift

It wasn’t until I sat down to edit that I realized my eye had been picking up threads I didn’t notice in the moment. I started grading the shadows with a deep green, only to realize it matched the old Ford resting in the storm, the snow-crowned headlight, and the logo on the truck door .

Stepping into the refuge of the diner, the connection finally clicked. Looking back out the window at that same green door , I remembered the name of the town: Green Mountain Falls.

The thread was there the whole time, hidden in plain sight. Sometimes you have to leave the warmth of the refuge to see how everything is actually tied together.
